About the Bible -
The Bible is the infallible (perfect) Word of God, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and it is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
About God -
There is only one true God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died as substitute for fallen man, arose bodily, ascended into Heaven, and will return to earth personally in power and great glory.
The Holy Spirit is God. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates, indwells, and empowers the believer to live a life of personal holiness and a walk of obedience to the will of God.
About Mankind -
All men by nature are sinful and lost, making necessary the new birth.
About Salvation -
Salvation is by grace alone, and is offered by God freely to all who will repent of their sins and receive Jesus Christ by faith as their personal Savior and Lord.
All who are redeemed will be raised to everlasting life and blessedness in heaven, and the unsaved will be raised to everlasting punishment in Hell.
What Must I Do To Be Born Again?
Saying the “Sinner’s Prayer” is simply a way of declaring to God that you desire to ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and you want to invite Him into your life to be your Savior. There are no “magical” words that result in salvation; God is interested in what’s in your heart. If you sincerely desire to have this relationship with Jesus Christ, here is a sample of a prayer you can pray:
Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus, I realize I am a sinner, I admit have done wrong things, and I am sorry. I believe that you died upon the cross and you shed your precious blood for the forgiveness of my sin. Please come into my heart, Lord Jesus, forgive my sin. I’m asking you to be my Savior, my Lord and my Friend. I believe that on the third day, you rose from the dead, and went to Heaven to prepare a place for me so one day when I leave this earth I will be with you. For this I am so grateful. Until that day, Jesus, help me to live my life in a way that will be pleasing to you so I can experience Your guidance and blessings in my life. Thank you Jesus! Amen
