The Good Woman
Proverbs 31:10-31

Introduction – Solomon provides a roadmap in order to find the treasure of happiness.

I. A good woman’s value – vv 10

• Strong character by wisdom and grace
• Command of spirit
• Rare and precious like rubies

II. A good woman’s description

• Concerned with husband’s trust and welfare vv. 11-12
• Takes pleasure in duty – vv. 13-15; 19, 24, 27b
• Prudent manager – vv. 16-18, 21-22
• Cares for family – v. 15,27a
• Charitable – v. 20
• Discreet in language – v.26
• Pure hearted – v. 30

III. A good woman’s happiness

• Contentment of virtue – v.25
• Commendation of family – v. 28
• Consensus of praise – v. 31

Conclusion – Let women strive to be this good woman. Let her family recognize and praise her for what she has done.
